About The Styled Nest
Have you considered the positive impact a beautifully designed interior can have on your mood and feelings? The Styled Nest is all about relaxed modern interiors. Creating fun but functional design using beautiful keys pieces that combine a timeless look but with a hint at a contemporary or quirky twist. This may be with the use of an unusual accessory, object of art, an original piece of antique furniture or a bold floor. These additions, with the personality of the homeowner in mind, make your design unique to you. Good interior design doesn't need to cost the earth and I can show you how to create a beautiful space on a budget.
Why use an interior designer?
Getting your interior scheme wrong can be costly. Using an interior designer, the whole scheme will be considered and designed to work together, to flow, to be balanced and to be the best layout for both function and form. Most importantly it will reflect your personality and will be a space you want to spend time in.
The design process
- First contact.
A questionnaire will be emailed to you to determine your needs and your style. I can then tailor our first meeting to your exact requirements. - First Meeting - Analysis Stage.
Getting to know you is crucial to a successful design. Let's have coffee, let’s chat, let's laugh. This is my opportunity to get to know what you really want, identify your needs, your style and what you want from your space. - Second Meeting - Concept Phase.
A design brief will be created identifying your tastes, style preferences, needs and wants. Technical drawings and floor plans will be created with suggested lay-outs and mood boards will be presented to you setting the tone for the final look. - Final Design and Implementation.
Layout and floor plans finalised, flooring, colour scheme, furniture, accessories, fabrics, fixtures and fittings selected. A more accurate cost analysis can be made at this stage and a shopping list of items can be drawn up. Trades can be instructed and a plan can be implemented for the job to be completed. - Installation and Dressing.
The final stage. The finishing touches to complete the overall look. We then arrange a photo shoot for our portfolio and your memories.

Who is behind The Styled Nest?
I’m Jill, an interior obsessive! I have always been hugely passionate about interior design and other people's houses. My biggest inspiration is definitely my Mum. She has always been a non-conformist, choosing her own path and nowhere has this been more prevalent than in her interiors. Seeing her transform rooms from drab to fab built my passion for home styling from a young age. For many years life took me down a very different path career-wise but the passion for interiors never left me. Finally, after having my two boys I retrained, gaining a Diploma in Interior Design.
I spend most of my spare time reading interiors magazines, sourcing inspiration from Instagram, Pinterest and the world outside. I never stop gathering new ideas and am constantly looking to push the boundaries in the world of interiors. As a mum to two young and sporty boys I understand the importance of a practical and workable design and I make sure to factor this into all of my schemes.
I am currently renovating an Edwardian house in Bramhall, follow me on instagram to track my progress!
